   Overview

The company Les Chiens du Grand Nord began its activities in Europe in 1987, specializing in dog sledding adventures. In 1995, they moved to Canada and became Les Chiens et Gîte du Grand Nord, specializing in winter adventure tourism in Quebec. Les Chiens du Grand Nord now offers a range of activities, including snowmobiling, snowshoeing, winter camping, Hudson Bay and James Bay dogsled trips, as well as dinner and overnight stays in cozy traditional log cabins.

Adventure packages are tailor-made to fit your requirements and usually take place from mid-November till the end of April. They can provide you with futher information, documentation and photographs upon request.

All activities are facilitated by a competent and dynamic team of professionals who have worked in the European and Canadian tourist industries since 1988. All guides have been trained in adventure tourism and are equipped with the skills necessary for your health and safety: CPR, advanced first aid for remote areas, forest survival, chart and compass orienteering, as well as the use of GPS. In addition, all packages of two or more days are sold with AIR MEDIC insurance - an emergency airlift insurance designed for isolated regions.
