Let's Have Some Fun Mushing! Traditionally, Maine guides made most of the equipment they used. They were independent and self reliant in the woods. Here at Mahoosuc, they make as much of their own equipment as possible. The sleds you will be using were handcrafted in the woodshop. They have found the traditional equipment such as wood frame snowshoes and cotton canvas tents to be superior to today's hi-tech alternatives.
