One Prayer: Peace One Hope: Harmony One Dream: Understanding -Indian Blessing
Harness the Power - Ride the Spirit... Close your eyes for a moment and imagine that there is no one else around you. No city, no cars, no noise.
Imagine that it is a clear and sunny day, the pristine white of the newly fallen snow almost blinding in its brilliance, the sky shining like a jewel above your head, the trees and mountains rising around you like silent sentinels. The air is crisp, cold and clean.
Now picture yourself on the back of a dog sled, being pulled by a team of purebred Siberian Huskies.
Imagine the power as you have harnessed your team, and feel the spirit of these incredible animals as they race across frozen ground as their ancestors once did; the peace of the morning broken only by the whisper of sled runners as they pass over the snow.
At Nakitsilik, they believe in the romance and adventure of dogsledding. The Siberian Huskies at Nakitsilik are a cheeky lot, full of fun and mischief, and they love to run.
Nakitsilik is located in the secluded hills of Bonaparte Plateau. The 160 acre property is surrounded by crown land and overlooks the valley above Eagan Lake. In the heart of range country, with their nearest neighbor over two kilometers away, they are truly a quiet and private property.
They literally have hundreds of miles of trails that start right from the kennel yard.
Start your day with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and the chorus of Good Mornings as your 80 Siberians greet the day with a haunting song. A hearty breakfast, and then out you'll head to the kennel - where you get ready to feed and water the dogs. After your sled handling lesson, it's time to harness up for the day's adventure!
