Choose one of our 3 or 4 night Basic Aurora Borealis Packages and spice them up individually with winter activities like dog mushing or snowmobiling. You'll find a variety of possibilities on the optional activities page. We also offer three special tours built around cultural and sporting events in Whitehorse (Yukon) in February and March of 2006.

If you have a little more time you might want to join us on our 8 day excursion up the Dempster Highway to Inuvik by van or small aircraft. The highlight is the drive on the famous ice-road to Tuktoyaktuk over the frozen Mackenzie River and the Polar Sea.

The more adventurous may want to participate in one of our 8-day Winter Adventure Tours. You will be based in Whitehorse (Yukon) and go out for typical northern winter activities every day, knowing that you come back to a hot shower and delicious meals in the evening.

A good portion of our guests come to the Canadian Yukon specifically to partake in a Northern Lights tour, and for good reason. If you want to take in the most spectacular display of nature’s cinematographic brilliance, you must join us at Nature Tours of Yukon for a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis. The Magical Northern Lights Tour

The dazzling Northern Lights are hypnotizing, and the colors and shapes change every night. The best time to take in these dancing skylights is late August through April, and we recommend observing this light show from a remote location, so as not to be distracted by city lights. Our guests are typically taken to a heated cabin or tent in the countryside around midnight to view the Northern Lights at their finest. Enjoy hot beverages and snacks, as well as camaraderie with other guests as the Aurora Borealis lights the midnight sky a plethora of twinkling colors.

Please keep in mind that you have a great chance of seeing this display of color when you travel to the Yukon from late August through April. However, since nature largely determines how and when it will broadcast the Northern Lights, we cannot guarantee to what extent you will see this display.
